It seems that every time you turn on the TV news or open a newspaper these days redundancies are in the headlines. Even the armed forces aren’t immune and we are currently engaged in military action around the world. In our own region just today (05/04/2011) it has been announced that Premier waste who have operations in throughout the North East including Durham, Washington, Gateshead and South Tyneside has transferred half its staff to a rival company and placed the rest in to a consultation process which seems likely to result in at least some redundancies. With the jobs market seemingly so turbulent at the moment it makes sense to review your own situation and where possible structure things so that you have the best chance of coping with redundancy should it happen. With this in mind I have put together a short and snappy guide to preparing for redundancy. Just click here to download it in PDF format. If you would like to discuss any aspect of the above or anything in the aforementioned guide please feel free to call me, John Bloomfield, on 0191 4066453 or click here to contact me. |
